This study has been in the making over the past twenty years, stimulated by the old Siamese chintz textile collection in the Thailand National Museum, Bangkok. This Siamese chintz has been know in Japan as 'Shamu-Sarasa' since Edo period. This textile involved with Siam/Thailand (Textile Design), India (Master dye of chintz), and Japan (Applied Textile), some of which contributed to textile art and technology in Asia
